Neighbors Homes exists to guide Wise County and Decatur–area families through that process with clarity, integrity, and a steady hand. Our story began in 1959, when Melton Neighbors was asked to step in and finish a home for a family in Alvord after their original contractor fell ill. That one project grew into Neighbors Construction, a small family-led operation that learned every trade by doing the work firsthand from concrete and framing to plumbing, electrical, and trim. Over the decades, the business passed to the next generation, continued building across Wise County and the Decatur area, and built long-term relationships with sub-contractors who still work with us today. In 2021, ownership transitioned to project manager Chase Rolland, who brought a strong background in commercial and multi-family construction and expanded the team to create what is now Neighbors Homes: a builder focused on process, communication, and a better homeowner experience.
